I'm gonna be an Aunt!!

I got a wonderful call yesterday from my brother, Wade. He informed me that our children will be 8 months apart! I was sooo excited!! I didn't realize how excited I would be until I got that news. It is going to be so nice to be able to spoil a baby that isn't mine, lol. It is Wade's first child and I am on child #2, so my sister in law, which happens to be Heather (very confusing at Christmas), has informed me she will be calling alot with advice, which I also love. I work for a gynecologist, so I will always have the answers!

First Day of Preschool

Yesterday was Lacie's first day of her new Preschool. She absolutly loves it! She went right in and was ready to start the day. I am so proud of her. We love her teacher, she is so sweet! Her classroom is adorable. They have two pets, a beta fish and a turtle.
My child is such a ham, the teacher took pictures of the students for their cubby's and instead of just smiling, Lacie had to pose, it is so cute!
They have a pee wee cheerleading program that she is doing after school. The little girls look soooo cute trying to do the cheers. Lacie is not that crazy about it though, which is fine, I will never make her do something she doesn't want to do. Practice is only today and tomorrow and they do a routine tomorrow night, then cheer at the first football game. I am hoping she will like it a little better today. We shall see...

Trampoline!

I am super excited for my baby! She is getting a trampoline today! She has one at my mom's house and now she will have one at home. Thank goodness we have started clearing out our backyard, which was trees and bushes and such. We still have alot of work to do on it, but we can def. put a trampoline back there and it will be great!
And to make it even better, we are getting it FREE! One of Will's friends at work wants to get rid of it (his children have outgrown it), it has been sitting in a shed, so I know it is in good condition. I can't wait to see all her "tricks". I had one when I was her age and I spent hours on it. It will also be great to keep her occupied while we, or while Will and family work on the backyard. It will be a couple of months before I can get on there with her, but I will have just as much fun watching her and the neighborhood kids.
I will post pics soon of the work we have done on the backyard and capture some of Lacie on the trampoline.

My baby! Preschool?!?

Ok, so my baby, will be starting preschool this year. It is a private school, so it goes all the way up to 12th grade. I enrolled her in this school because it is the best in the area and they do not play here in Auburn when it comes to school, so I wanted her to have a head start. But now that the time is getting closer, I don't know if I like the idea of my baby starting a real school quite yet. I am getting ready to start shopping for school clothes, which I have not done until this year, and I feel like I need to buy more growny (I think I just made up that word) clothes. I would never let her in on my hesitation to let her grow up a little bit more this year, because I want her to be a strong, brave independant woman one day. I look at my job as her mother to give her the best childhood possible, to make every stepping stone special and meaningful for her, to show her to laugh and have fun with life, but to be headstrong, to always believe in herself and stay true to her morals and values. I know all in all, I am here also to teach my precious baby how to be able to leave the nest one day and to live sucessfully on her own. I know that is a long way off, but I feel like although, she is only 4, she is growing up before my eyes.

Oh, I found this picture that was made a month or so of me and my bestest friend, JC. We are both pregnant together! We are about 2 weeks apart. How lucky I feel to be able to experience this with her. She is having a boy. The kids are going to be so close.

I took Lacie to the Dr. with me today to hear McKenzie's heartbeat. She loved it! She loved going with me and got so much attention as being the BIG sister. I can't wait to see how she is going to be as a sister. I always wanted a sister growing up and I think it will be such a blessing to get to watch my girls being sisters together.
Lacie is such a caretaker, she acts more like the mom sometimes than I do. And with me being pregnant, she is such a big help. For the past couple of months I have tried to spend as much time with her as possible, because it won't be long before she won't be the only child anymore.
I had a T-Shirt made for her that says "I'm the Big Sister" and it has her name under that, for her to wear to the hospital. I had McKenzie a Auburn hat made, it will be football season when she is born and fall. Can't wait to see them both in their attire!

New years 2009 with my group of bestfriends from college. We make it a tradition to meet up every New Years since we don't all live by each other anymore.
I just threw this picture in, I was probably only 12 weeks pregnant. I need to take some more belly pictures.

Happy 4th to everyone! We are about to go to some of our bestfriend's house to celebrate the holiday. We try to see them on New year's and the 4th of July. When football gets here, we will see them almost every weekend too.

I hope everyone is safe. Say a prayer for us as we travel. Holiday travelling always scares me.

Oh, and my ultrasound went great! McKenzie is perfect! For the first ultrasound there was a cyst on her brain, I know, it sounds very serious, but our first daughter had one too and it went away. I was not that concerned since I had been through it before, but it was still a little concerning, I think that is normal human instinct.

It made my day! No worries now, I can just sit back and await her arrival. Only two months and we get to meet her!
